Simon did not grow up in a farm but his parents owned horses and his other relatives have a mixed farm. He is currently studying Agriculture and Forestry and it is through them that he acquired the experience needed in farming, taking care of animals such as horses, milking cows and calves, doing fieldwork, driving the tractor, making hay and silage, transporting crops and bales and little extra maintenance jobs such as repairing machines.
He hopes to finish his education in Agriculture and Forestry and to be a highland cattle stockman someday.
Simon is captivated of the beauty of Norway, especially her fjords. He would like to do his internship in another country so that he could see the differences in farming methods and techniques in Austria and Norway. Furthermore, he would also like to enhance his English skills, and to meet new people of different backgrounds and cultures.
Simon is courteous and polite, conscientious, reliable and determined individual. He enjoys helping his relatives in their mixed farm, to spend time in the horses’ stable, hiking and biking.
