Atlantis Utveksling (Atlantis Exchange in English) organizes cultural exchange programs in Norway for young foreigners who would like to work as working guests in agriculture or tourism, trainees in agriculture and au pairs. Norwegians can volunteer in Africa, Asia and Latin-America.
Atlantis Utveksling is a foundation established by the Norwegian Youth Council in 1987. Our goal is to promote respect and understanding between cultures through international exchange programs. We have specialized in work experience programs and volunteer programs for people between 18 and 30 years of age.
Working guest and Au pair
The programs are based on the idea of working for free board and lodging, while experiencing the Norwegian culture while living with a Norwegian hosts. All participants receive weekly pocket money.
We require all participants to apply through one of our partner organizations, and to apply for our programs you have to contact one of our partner organizations in your home country. All participants must pay an administrative fee to Atlantis Utveksling and the Sending organization in their home country.
You can find a list of partners under each exchange program.
If there is no such organization in your home country, you are not able to apply for the program. We do not answer inquiries directly from applicants. All requests for information should be directed towards one of our partner organizations.
Norway trainee in agriculture
This program is open to agricultural students at university level.
Norwegians have the possibility to work as volunteers abroad in Africa, Asia and Latin-America through Atlantis. You can volunteer with children, women and elders, health and nutrition, animals and nature.
